Meet Alfred! Lovett Care introduces new robotic team member
A new robotic team member is creating a stir at Lovett Care’s soon-to-open, Fairfax Manor flagship care home in Harrogate.
Alfred, a Servi+ foodservice solution developed by Bear Robotics, can be seen weaving his way through the home’s orangery and dining areas.
The state-of-the-art system can perform a number of tasks, including collecting and returning cups and plates or delivering a cup of tea to a resident’s bedroom.
Chief operating officer of Lovett Care, Debbie Baker, said: “As a forward-thinking organisation, we remain committed to continuously enhancing our services through the adoption of innovative technologies that improve the quality of care and support for our residents.”
Head of sales EMEA for Bear Robotics, Malachy Ryan, added: “We understand the importance of helping care home residents live their lives to the fullest. That is why we have worked so hard in developing smart solutions to enhance the quality of communal senior living experiences.”
Fairfax Manor in Harrogate, acquired from Angela Swift Developments in 2023, will shortly be open to new residents.
Lovett Care also has homes under construction in St Helen’s, South Manchester and Kent.
