Meallmore appoints manager for Bearsden home

Meallmore has appointed June McIntosh as general manager of Antonine House care home, an 81-bed luxury facility in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, which cares for residents with a range of support needs including dementia and palliative care.

McIntosh has 40 years of experience in the sector. She attended Inverclyde Nursing College where she completed a course in general nursing. Later, while working as a staff nurse, she attended Ayrshire and Arran College of Nursing becoming a registered mental nurse. She has worked as a team leader and deputy manager in care homes across Scotland and returns to Antonine House, having previously been deputy care home manager in 2013.

McIntosh said: “I am very excited to be returning to Antonine House to lead the exceptionally strong team. Our aim is to provide consistent, personalised care in Bearsden for every person who lives with us. Following my previous experience working at Antonine House with the fantastic team, I cannot image taking on the position of anywhere else.

“I am looking forward to ensuring our wonderful residents are happy and that their loved ones know that they are in safe hands and receiving the highest-quality care.”
