Join Social Care hires global partnerships director as it looks toward international markets

Digital recruitment platform for care Join Social Care has hired Jamie Lu as its global partnerships director.

The new hire comes as the company looks to internationalise its offering by expanding to new markets to support government agencies and care providers with recruitment efforts. It also follows Join Social Care’s parent company, Cera, announcing its first international expansion – to Germany – earlier this month.

Lu’s role at Join Social Care will be two-fold – to drive the commercial strategy of the business to supercharge growth and to lead the expansion of services to new verticals and markets outside of the UK.

Before joining Join Social Care, Lu held various roles at Huma for over four years, focusing on market entry in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, and expanding Huma’s propositions into new therapeutic areas. She managed complex enterprise partners and created bespoke value propositions for new client groups, as well as leading global partnerships specialising in remote patient monitoring software for chronic conditions and episodic care.

Before Huma, Lu worked at J.P. Morgan in London, Frankfurt and Zurich.

“The need for committed and capable care workers has never been greater or more widely recognised, not just here but globally,” said Lu. “I’m excited to have joined the UK’s leading social care recruitment platform to help take its innovation and expertise to new countries and verticals around the world.”

Martin Warnes, director of Join Social Care, commented: “Join Social Care’s super-charged growth has surpassed even our own expectations. Care providers around the world are crying out for an innovative solution to plug gaps in talent pools – Jamie has a proven track record of brokering international partnerships so we are thrilled to have her on board as we embark on this global journey.”

Since its launch less than two years ago, the company has over 2,500+ care providers and 90,000 candidates using the platform.
