Home Instead Scotland offices celebrate 5-star ratings
Three Home Instead offices owned by Suhail Rehman and his team have achieved 5-star ratings from the Care Inspectorate.
Home Instead Glasgow South, South Ayrshire and Kilmarnock, and Stirling and Falkirk have been praised for their high standards in providing care for older people in their own homes, giving them the chance to stay living where they love being the most.
Rehman commented: “I’m so proud of our fantastic team who have helped us achieve these 5-star ratings. Every day we make it possible for older people to live healthily and happily at home, and to know that we are doing it to the Care Inspectorate’s high standards is wonderful.
“There are so many benefits of staying at home in your old age – it’s a place of familiarity and for many of us it’s where our fondest memories lie. I’m pleased to see more and more families view it as an option for their older loved ones.”
The report’s noted the compassionate care provided at the services with clients treated with the upmost respect and dignity.
Home Instead’s approach to care – providing clients with the same care professional for the long-term – was also credited, with the reports noting that this enables early health interventions and crisis prevention.
A client told inspectors: “I look forward to the carer coming, it is someone else to talk to and we have a laugh, it cheers me up.”
The Care Inspectorate also recognised Home Instead’s positive and supportive working culture, including giving care professionals career development opportunities.
