Home Instead annual golf day heads to the Midlands

Home Instead’s third annual Golf Day is heading to the Midlands with the aim of raising funds to support community groups.

The home care provider’s Golf Day, sponsored by share scheme and equity management company Vestd, will take place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort’s Derby Course in Sutton Coldfield on Friday 2 June. Members of the Home Instead office team,  franchise owners and their teams will come together with suppliers and business contacts to raise funds for Home Instead Charities UK.

Home Instead executive director Penny Hamer said: “This is a key date in our calendar. It’s an event we rely on to raise vital funds to support Home Instead Charities’ work in communities across the UK.”

Home Instead Charities UK supports community groups to fund activities that support wellbeing or activities and programmes that reduce isolation and loneliness.  The organisation recently set up a number of Companionship Cafes with the support of the Access Foundation, which provide a welcoming place for older people to get together as well as providing education on the use of technology. Other recent grants have supported people to attend a neuro physio gym and take part in a steel band for the visually impaired.

Anyone interested in taking part in the four-ball format competition should contact the charity’s fundraising and operations manager, Alicen Thorn [email protected].
