HC-One has partnered with suppliers MT Print and Premier Paper to support the Woodland Trust as part of its mission to become a carbon net zero care provider.

One hundred individuals from companies across the UK came together to plant around 3,000 trees on 15 November at The Mersey Forest in North Cheshire.

Sally O’Donnell, head of marketing at HC-One, commented: “HC-One was excited to be part of this initiative in partnership with our suppliers Premier Paper and MT Print. The work the Woodland Trust does to support the expansion of native woodland and create tree-rich habitats is so important in mitigating the impact of climate change and creating environments that local communities can enjoy.

“At HC-One, we recognise the importance working with suppliers who share our carbon net zero ambitions and building relationships with organisations like The Woodland Trust who are doing so much great work to tackle the challenges that climate change present.”

The Frodsham site will eventually be transformed into a native broadleaf woodland, which will contribute to the growth of The Mersey Forest and the larger Northern Forest. The objectives at the site align with nature recovery, climate change mitigation, and community involvement. With tree cover in Merseyside and Cheshire below the national average, the initiative serves as a beacon for environmental conservation, climate change mitigation, contribute to long-term carbon storage, provide habitats for wildlife, and offer public recreation spaces.
