Leading care home operator HC-One is bringing its Scottish care homes under one banner and trading name.

HC-One Scotland comprises 51 care homes providing residential, nursing and dementia care.

Maxine Smedley, managing director, HC-One Scotland, said: “I’m delighted that we are launching HC-One Scotland today. This really brings together all the amazing people we have living and working in our care homes.

“We are always striving to deliver the best possible care to residents in the communities we serve in Scotland, and this unwavering focus will continue as we move forward together as HC-One Scotland.”

HC-One Scotland is marking Care Home Open Week (26 June – 2 July), through a ‘Listening Leaders’ initiative where senior colleagues will have the opportunity to spend a day in a care home carrying out a number of roles under supervision, including wellbeing coordinator, gardener/maintenance operative, laundry assistant and kitchen assistant in order to find out more about how to support staff.

HC-One Scotland will be opening a training centre and office adjacent to HC-One’s Quayside care home, which will provide a base for the division as well as meeting space and a training hub for colleagues across the region. A new logo has been launched for HC-One Scotland, and homes will be receiving newly branded materials and signage over the coming months.
