Hallmark Care Homes bury time capsules to mark 25 years

Hallmark Care Homes

Care provider Hallmark Care Homes buried time capsules at all of its care homes to mark the organisation’s 25th anniversary last week.

The family-run group, which was established in 1997. buried the capsules for future generations to dig up. They included newspaper cuttings, photos, coins, residents’ poems, letters from relatives and collaborative work with local schools.

As part of the events, residents also enjoyed live entertainment and a special cake made by the home’s dedicated kitchen teams.

They were joined for the occasion by Hallmark Care Homes’ chairman Avnish Goyal, managing director Aneurin Brown and the senior leadership team who thanked the team and made an 800-mile trip to visit all of the company’s 22 care homes in one week.

Brown said: “It was lovely to mark our 25th anniversary as a business and see everyone joining in with something that explains the world as we see it right now. A special plaque has been installed to mark the point where the time capsule is buried and we hope in 25 years when it is dug up, future generations can discover and learn from it.”

Goyal added: “I am so thankful and proud of the teams for everything they have achieved over the past 25 years. The road trip was a great opportunity to unite and acknowledge our caring and committed team who go above and beyond daily to ensure that residents have an amazing quality of life.”
