Committed to Elevating Care Standards like never before

CareTutor is an eLearning portal launched in 2020 by BVS Training which has over two decades of experience in providing training for the care sector. We aim to be at the forefront of revolutionising care training, offering a go-to destination for high-quality and engaging, cost-effective video-based eLearning.

Understanding the pivotal role that learning plays in shaping the delivery of care, we have developed a comprehensive range of eLearning courses tailored to meet and exceed the diverse needs of care organisations. Our courses are peer reviewed by highly respected organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society and SCIE (Social Care Institute for Excellence).

The courses can be used for induction and refresher training, covering the full Care Certificate, mandatory training subjects such as emergency first aid, and moving and assisting, and a number of conditions courses covering subjects such as dementia, epilepsy, and Parkinson’s disease.

CareTutor is endorsed by Skills for Care, a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering high quality learning, and CareTutor is also a Skills for Care Centre of Excellence. With CPD accreditation and full compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, we are active members of the National Care Forum and the Homecare Association.

All of our courses are produced using elements of either live-action or animated video scenarios in our interactive courses, increasing engagement and retention from our learners. The use of professional actors in these scenarios adds a layer of authenticity, providing trainees with a glimpse into the challenges of caregiving.

Research shows that visual learning is incredibly effective, with visuals being processed in the brain thousands of times faster than text. CareTutor leverages this insight to create engaging content with animations, interactive elements and scenarios that resonates with learners, enhancing retention and application in real-world work situations..

At the heart of our approach lies the recognition that effective learning is synonymous with high-quality care. By empowering care professionals with tools and knowledge, we ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional care while staying abreast of regulatory changes. Through interactive video-based eLearning, staff can learn at their own pace, engaging with real-life scenarios filmed in care homes and home care settings.

Our Traffic Light Training Matrix offers a streamlined solution to staff compliance challenges, providing a single-page view of all learners’ training status in real-time. This intuitive system simplifies the communication of compliance to inspectors, ensuring that care organisations remain in alignment with regulatory standards.

With over 75 accredited courses, serving thousands of care providers and more than 1 million course completions, here’s what some of our clients have to say:
