Exemplar Health Care, a provider of specialist nursing care for adults living with complex needs, has opened its fifth care home in the West Midlands.

Blackmoor will support 30 adults living with a range of complex and high acuity needs; including brain injuries, neuro-disabilities, spinal injuries, physical disability or mental health conditions.

The home has 30 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across three units and features communal dining and living spaces, as well as an activities hub, therapy kitchen, salon, multi-faith room and large accessible garden, for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The new home is located on Blackmoor Croft, near Birmingham city centre, and Exemplar says it will generate over 100 jobs to residents in the local area.

 Kerry Hill, Blackmoor’s commissioning home director, said: “We are extremely happy to be able to open the fifth Exemplar Care Home in the West Midlands. We have designed and built Blackmoor to provide person-centered nursing care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills, and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.”
