Exemplar Health Care has officially opened Shire Oaks Court in Walsall in the West Midlands.

Mayor and Mayoress of Walsall, Councillor Chris Towe and Louisa Hughes cut the ribbon to launch the home that will create 100 jobs and provide nursing led care to adults living with a range of complex care needs.

Ami Narwal, home manager at Shire Oaks Court, said: “I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to the Walsall community as we embark on the journey of introducing a much-needed complex care service to this region. Our primary commitment is to enhance the daily lives of our residents, offering personalised care that fosters independence, cultivates essential life skills, and empowers individuals to lead the most fulfilling lives possible.

“We want to work closely with local health and social care professionals, our valued residents, their families, and the broader community. By doing so, we aim to ensure that people receive unparalleled care and have their complex needs met within the comfort of their own community.”

Shire Oaks Court supports adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities, including Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The nurse-led team is also experienced in supporting people with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health conditions and individuals who require tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG feeding tubes.
