Excelcare invests £2.1m in upgrades and innovation
Care provider Excelcare invested £2.1 million in digital upgrades and innovation over the last year.
Projects include a partnership with care management system Nourish, which centralises information about individuals onto one profile, facilitating faster decision making.
Excelcare has also implemented Radar Healthcare, an all-in-one risk and compliance software that stores up-to-date company policies. Benefits include the consolidation of audits and their outcomes, enabling future internal inspections to be compared against previous results.
Excelcare has adopted ATLAS eMAR, an electronic medication record system that ensures effective management, accurate delivery, and comprehensive logging of medications. The system facilitates digital integration between care homes, GP surgeries, and pharmacy dispensaries, simplifying access to medication-related information.
A partnership with rewards platform Terryberry aims to streamline employee recognition and awards programs while offering a range of benefits, wellbeing initiatives and discounts. Other innovations include the development of internal intranet hubs hosted on SharePoint, and the implementation of Cloud Financials, AccessPay, and Coldharbour to enhance the effective management of financial operations.
Sam Manning, Excelcare chief operating officer, said all upgrades aimed to ensure that “Mr Bailey”, the composite representative of every individual living in an Excelcare home, remained at the heart of every decision made.
“While it is easy to focus on investment figures, our primary motivation is to ensure that ‘Mr Bailey’ remains at the heart of everything we do, and that our incredible team also feel valued for the outstanding outcomes they arrange for Mr Bailey and his friends,” he said. “Every decision made as part of this comprehensive overhaul has been driven by a commitment to individuals and how these systems will enhance their lives while empowering our teams in delivering exceptional care.”
