Complex care home opens in Stockport
Exemplar Health Care, a nursing care provider for adults living with complex and high acuity needs, has officially opening Adswood Lodge, its new £6 million care home in Cale Green, Stockport.
Adswood Lodge supports adults living with neuro-disabilities including Huntington’s disease brain injuries and strokes, physical disabilities, spinal injuries, and complex mental health needs. It is Exemplar Health Care’s fourth care home in Greater Manchester.
The home has 30 large bedrooms, each with an en suite wet room, split into three 10-bed communities, which each have a dining room, lounge, quiet lounge, and a sensory bathroom. There is also an activities hub, sensory room, hair salon, visitors’ suite, multi-faith room and a large garden.
The home created 100 new healthcare jobs has already recruited a mix of care, nursing and therapeutic practitioners, including healthcare assistants, registered nurses, and a physiotherapist.

It offers a wide array of facilities from bespoke private rooms to communal lounges for the residents. I was particularly impressed with the health facilities such as spa baths, treatment rooms and a dedicated clinic. The staff were a wonderfully caring group who offer a full-service 24-hour support. This is a shining example of the care services now available in Stockport.”
