Chief nurse launches Hallmark care home nursing community

Chief nurse for adult social care, Deborah Sturdy, was the guest of honour at the opening of a new nursing community at Hallmark’s Hutton View Care Home in Essex.
Sturdy cut the ribbon in front of 50 guests who were invited to view the home’s state-of-the-art nursing facilities on Rayleigh Road, which include 11 generous bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
The event featured a Q&A with Sturdy who spoke about her current priorities and also met with three newly appointed nurses.
Sturdy said: “I was so pleased to open the new nursing wing at Hutton View and meet the dedicated nursing team, ready to deliver high quality, person-centred care. It’s peace of mind for residents and families to know they will be cared for in such lovely surroundings.”
General manager at Hutton View Care Home, Louise Baxter said: “I am delighted that our nursing community is now officially open! It’s important to our residents and their families that they live in a care home for life, which is why we have extended our care offering.
“I am excited to be able to lead the team here at Hutton View and support our nurses, who have been selected for their kindness, expertise and commitment to care, and ooze passion and enthusiasm.”
