CHD Living hosts inaugural management conference
CHD Living, a luxury care provider with services spanning home care, care residences and rehabilitation centres, recently held its first manager’s conference with the theme of ‘moving forwards’.
The conference served as a platform for the group to highlight its current and future developments, acquisitions and refurbishments – giving managers a sneak peek into the organisation’s future direction.
Director of CHD Living, Shaleeza Hasham, said: “I’m hugely proud of the remarkable journey that CHD Living is on and of the strides our organisation has made and continues to make. The dedication of our staff continues to inspire me; together, we are shaping the future of CHD Living and, through our collective efforts, we ensure the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents.”
The day celebrated success stories and achievements from each service, ranging from quotes extracted from CQC reports to refurbishments, activities and manager journeys, and emphasised the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality care.
One success was the recent promotions of Helen Aitchison and Becs Page, two accomplished professionals within the CHD Living operational leadership team. Page, now the quality assurance & compliance manager, has had a 14-year journey at the company, rising from home-based care coordinator to registered manager, and then regional manager. Her dedication to delivering exceptional care and her extensive compliance knowledge have played a pivotal role in achieving Good ratings from CQC for 12 registered services.
Similarly, after studying physiotherapy at university, Aitchison’s career at CHD Living began in 2014 at Bagshot Park Neurorehabilitation Centre. Her career quickly developed within the company, progressing to rehabilitation pathways lead and then business relationship manager. Utilising her strong communication and project management skills in her current role as head of communications & transformation, Aitchison is now responsible for overseeing the strategic marketing plans and the implementation of business improvement and transformation projects across CHD Living.
Two important announcements at the event were the launch of CHD Living’s Training Academy, a long-standing dream of the organisation and its introduction of a new quality assurance initiative.
The CHD Training Academy aims to have its training reviewed and accredited by the CPD Certification Service, a nationally recognised independent accreditation service for Continuing Professional Development. This accreditation will enable CHD Living to offer high-quality training to other providers in the area.
