Caring Times Owners Club partners with Spectrum Care

The buying consortium Spectrum Care has joined forces with Caring Times’ community of care owners and directors to offer high-quality content and events.

Spectrum Care and the Caring Times Owners Club have come together to organise a programme of workshops and events to support care owners and directors. This will help providers to navigate challenges including CQC requirements, commissioning contracts and operating costs.

The Owners Club and Spectrum will jointly host two events this year: the Spectrum Demystifying ESG event on 18 September, and the Owners Club Midlands on 31 October. Both events are free for Spectrum and Owners Club members to attend and include networking, high-quality content and hospitality.

Held in partnership with Colliers, Bevan Brittan and Barclays, the Spectrum event will take place at Colliers’ London headquarters, on Wigmore Street, and discuss the importance of ESG and financing, futureproofing stock and preparing to exit, top tips for acquisitions, developments and extensions, and regulatory changes and sustainability.

Meanwhile, the Owners Club Midlands event, held at The Belfry, includes workshops on CQC’s single assessment framework, raising debt for development, and negotiating with local authorities and ICBs. This will be followed by a complementary sit-down dinner, drinks and overnight stay, with guests welcome to use the golf and spa facilities at the hotel.

The partnership between Spectrum and the Caring Times Owners Club capitalises on their individual networks and knowledge to create an enhanced support system for providers, at a time when the care sector continues to face uncertainty.

Spectrum director Shaleeza Hasham, who runs the family-owned care group, CHD Living, and fronts the charity, Adopt a Grandparent, said: “We’re delighted to partner with the Caring Times Owners Club to offer a collective wealth of knowledge and support tools for care providers. This new relationship and the subsequent events will empower members and attendees to confidently face the challenges of today’s care landscape. We look forward to September’s event and helping our incredible industry to thrive.”

Alice Jones, head of digital content at Caring Times and director of the Caring Times Owners Club, said: “The Owners Club and Spectrum are both dedicated to supporting care providers through the toughest issues currently facing the sector, so this was a perfect match for a partnership.

“It’s great to work with Spectrum to ensure our workshops and resources continue to offer our members high-quality support to deal with the challenges currently facing the sector.”

The Caring Times Owners Club is a free-to-join, exclusive community of more than 130 owners and directors at care providers. The Club offers high-value online workshops and guides, as well as data on local authority fees and care home rates via partnerships with Care England and Carterwood.

With more than 1,700 members, who between them provide 55,000 beds across nine care associations, Spectrum Care supports care home groups, associations and independent members, in addition to more than 70 suppliers of essential products and services across all areas of operations. By removing the hard work and confusion of navigating so many offerings from care operators, the care consortium allows care services and their teams to focus on what really matters; providing the best possible care to the people they support.
