Caring Times launches Owners Club to support care providers

This magazine is pleased to announce the launch of the Caring Times Owners Club, offering exclusive insights, data and networking retreats to help care executives run their businesses

Running a care business is never easy, but it has been particularly challenging in recent years, with the shock of the Covid-19 pandemic, the effect of Brexit on overseas recruitment and difficulties retaining quality staff across the sector.

Not only that, but high energy costs and rising inflation are affecting providers’ profitability as well as plans to acquire or build new homes.

These challenges are having an effect; an independent report launched at Care England’s conference in March stated that “one-third of adult social care providers, including half of smaller organisations, have considered exiting the market in the past 12 months”.

In this climate, connections with other care owners can be an invaluable source of support and advice. For example, learning how providers have negotiated with their local authority, organised their taxes, or improved occupancy could help other owners to do the same.

Caring Times is therefore pleased to launch the Caring Times Owners Club, an exclusive free-to-join community of care owners and directors, to support the sector.

Owners and directors can join the online portal to connect with other owners and benefit from high-value webinars, workshops and exclusive data.

Members will also enjoy free invitations to our events including the Healthcare Summit, as well as our luxury retreats – including our inaugural event at the Belfry hotel on 31 October 2023 – where attendees can listen to top advisors and network with other owners.

The mission of the Club is to help owners through hard times, enable them to build on their existing successes, and create connections across the care sector. Membership is therefore limited to owners or directors at care services (vetted against Companies House) to ensure a safe, behind-closed-doors environment.
