CareTech showcases commitment to responsible business strategy

Leading health and social care provider, CareTech, has published a new report showcasing its commitment to ESG principles and a responsible corporate strategy.

The second Purpose Report highlights key achievements, inspiring stories and the strategic vision that drives the organisation’s dedication to a lasting impact on individuals, families and communities.

Jonathan Freeman, CareTech’s sustainability director, said: “We are delighted to publish our second Purpose Report. It showcases the remarkable achievements of CareTech and also demonstrates the achievements and opportunities for our staff and the people we support. The report serves as a call to action, inviting stakeholders within and outside of CareTech to join us on our shared mission to achieve a sustainable future for the sector.”

Key achievements over the past year highlighted include: the introduction of an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme for staff; supporting close to 20,000 individuals around the world through augmentative and alternative communication via subsidiary, Smartbox; the participation of 68 services in Care Home Open Week; the global expansion of CareTech’s Purple Tuesday disability inclusion campaign; and headline partnership for the Care Sector Fundraising Ball which raised over £400,000 for The Care Workers’ Charity and Alzheimer’s Society.
