Care provider launches podcast
Parklands Care Homes is launching a podcast series to take listeners behind the scenes of its care homes as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Carecast, produced by Adventurous Audio, is a ten-part series which will kick off on 7 October with an interview with Parklands managing director Ron Taylor.
Subsequent episodes will go behind the scenes at Parklands to explore every aspect of care, including meal preparation, activities, the architectural design principles underpinning the company’s latest care homes and aspirations for the future.
Carecast introduces some of Parklands’ longest serving employees and features figures from the business and care sectors, including Sarah Medrcaf, chief executive of Moray Chamber of Commerce and Donald Macaskill, chief executive of Scottish Care.
Donald Morrison, communications director for Parklands Care Homes, said: ” We set out to produce a series that would portray every aspect of life within our care homes. Carecast is a celebration of life, laughter and joy, but also depicts moments of heartache and loss. It’s funny, touching and emotional in equal measure.”
Pennie Latin-Stuart , Adventurous Audio director, added: “I really didn’t know what to expect when I came to producing Carecast but it has been a huge eye-opener, a deeply moving and thought provoking insight into the extraordinary people behind the scenes of Parklands. It’s been such a pleasure to meet and talk with so many of the staff and residents.”
