Following its launch in June 2019 the care badge, a unifying symbol of pride in social care, is now being worn by more than 100,000 people across the UK.
The care badge community interest company announced the reaching of this milestone in late-February. Mor than a quarter of the UK population is either providing or receiving care outside of a hospital environment every day. The care badge was launched to raise the public profile of social care and recognise the 9 million care workers and carers helping others across the UK.
The board of the care badge community interest company said it was time to raise the profile of social care and the esteem in which it and its participants were held.
“The care badge initiative has really taken off and we are very grateful to all those who have given it their support,” the board said.
All profits from the sale of care badges are distributed to care-related causes and charities, suggested online by care workers and carers and overseen by a care badge committee.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”32046″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1583227327382{padding-top: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1536940576920{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] ')} [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
