Camelot Care acquires Devon care home
Family-run business Camelot Care has acquired Deer Park Care Home in Holsworthy, Devon, a former care home which previously traded for many years offering elderly care with a Care Quality Commission registration for a capacity of 56 residents.
A spokesperson from Camelot Care commented: “We are excited to add this sizeable home to our portfolio and look forward to providing a new home with high-quality dementia care for the residents of Holsworthy and district.”
The new owner plans to undertake a period of refurbishment before reopening Deer Park as a care home.
Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale.
Eve Apperley, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “We received significant interest in the home, however, the seller was very specific in her wish to see it reopen as a care home. With this in mind, we ensured we found a reputable operator experienced in these types of transactions. This acquisition represents an excellent opportunity for Camelot Care to expand its portfolio with a purpose-built care home.”
