Bluebird Care franchise celebrates 10 years of serving the local community
Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk, and Catterick has celebrated a decade of helping provide community care.
Heather Price, who has lived locally for over 25 years, opened the doors of Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk, and Catterick 10 years ago with a team of two expert carers: today the team celebrates as a team of 50.
Price said: “Running our own domiciliary and 24-hour live-in care business has been a fantastic experience. We love making a positive difference to other people’s lives, so to be here celebrating our 10th anniversary is really special. It’s all down to the great team that we’ve got here, and the collaboration across the community, including with North Yorkshire County Council and the NHS.
“To us, the quality of the service we provide to our community is always our number one priority, and enabling more individuals with complex needs to remain safely at home rather than in a residential setting. Currently, 60% of our staff have also worked with us for more than two years, which is a true testament to the environment we have worked to build in our community.”
During the celebrations, care experts Jo Smith and Angela Coulson were jointly awarded Carer of the Year for 2023, recognising their efforts to go above and beyond for customers in the five years they’ve been part of the local home care team. Both Smith and Coulson received trophies, flowers, and a luxury spa day at Rockcliffe Hall.
Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk, and Catterick recently received their third Good rating just in time for the tenth birthday celebrations, adding excitement to an already momentous day.
