Bankhouse Nursing Home, a nursing care facility local to Blaenau Gwent in South Wales has sold to the manager of Oxford Care Homes and BIRA Care Homes. BP Khanal is the new owner.

The 54-bed home provides nursing and personal care for adults as well as support for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The home was purpose-built in the 1980s.

BP will now manage six care homes across South Wales, with 144 beds in addition to those from Bankhouse. He said: “Bankhouse is a lovely home which was run well over the course of the prior ownership. We’re excited to integrate the home into our rapidly expanding group as we diligently scale over the course of the next few years.”

The valuation was not disclosed.
