Audley Group has officially opened its Audley Fairmile retirement village in Cobham, Surrey.

Nick Sanderson, chief executive of Audley Group, and The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Elmbridge, Councillor Richard Williams were joined by current owners, friends and family, and members of the local community and the Fairmile team to mark the occasion, cut the ribbon and raise a toast to the new village.

Richard Williams, The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Elmbridge, commented: “I greatly enjoyed the opening of Audley Fairmile. Nick Sanderson and his team have done a tremendous job in creating an environment that gives people their own privacy and space alongside being able to socialise with fellow residents when the mood takes them. Talking to current and prospective owners, I came to realise just how significant this change to retirement living is for people, but simply everyone felt they had made the right decision and were very happy with the choices they had made. That’s no mean feat.”

With 74 luxurious two-bedroom properties, Audley Fairmile is Audley Group’s 20th luxury senior living retirement village located. Facilities include a restaurant, pool and a health club, which are all included in monthly management fees, as well as extra care services.

The village, newly opened in 2023, has a selection of two-bedroom apartments for sale with prices starting from £764,950.

Nick Sanderson, chief executive of Audley Group, commented: “Officially opening the doors at Audley Fairmile was a celebration for all. This is something we are immensely proud of, and for me personally, Fairmile has a personal connotation. A visit to nearby Whiteley village many years ago was part of the inspiration for Audley when I realised the importance and benefit of specialist housing for older people. With Fairmile marking our 20th village across the UK, our aspiration to enable people to maintain their independence and actively improve their health and wellbeing, with the knowledge that care support is there, is continuing to become a reality.”
