Ashley Care Group acquires Great Yarmouth home

Ashley Care Group has purchased Church Farm Residential Home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, which provides residential and dementia care.

Ania George, operations director at Ashley Care Group, said: “There is a real need for more specialist care services in the local area, so we’ll be investing in additional training for the team so that they have the skills they need to support our residents who have more advanced forms of dementia.

“We also know how important consistency is for our residents and we’re thrilled that all the existing team members will be staying with us. We’re 100% committed to providing the best care possible and, as well as additional training, we’ll be updating the facilities and décor to give the property a refresh.”

This is the fifth care home acquisition for Ashley Care Group, which also owns and manages Ailwyn Hall, Fairland House and The Old Vicarage, also in Norfolk.

George  added: “We are continually on the lookout for more sites in the area, so we can support more people and their families and are delighted to add Church Farm to our growing group.

Roger Harcourt, corporate partner at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “The care sector has been hit hard over the past few years and we’re seeing significant number of acquisitions and deals as a result.”
