England’s largest not-for-profit provider of older people’s housing and care, Anchor, has appointed Amanda Holgate as chief financial officer.

Holgate, who takes up her role in February, has worked in the housing sector for more than eight years, first as deputy finance director at Family Mosaic and then as director, finance services at Peabody.  She joined Southern Housing Group as chief financial officer in 2019. 

Prior to entering the housing sector, she gained more than 20 years’ financial and commercial experience in a range of sectors, including financial services, technology and retail asset management.

Anchor chief executive Sarah Jones said: “I am delighted to welcome Amanda. She brings a great deal of experience and expertise to the executive team and I’m looking forward to working with her.”

Holgate said: “I am very excited to be joining Anchor at such an important time for older people’s housing and care.”

Peter Haspel took on the role of interim chief financial officer after Jones became chief executive in August 2022.
