£9m Leamington Spa home welcomes first residents

Berkley Care Group’s £9m Jubilee House has welcomed its first residents with a red ribbon cutting event.

Alison Partridge and John Ackerman, the first residents to move into the home, cut the ribbon at the luxury Leamington Spa home.

The ribbon cutting followed an event where staff and prospective residents were able to meet each other and enjoy champagne, canapés, and cake.

Jubilee House’s facilities include a high-end bar and bistro, a private dining room, a large screen cinema, an arts and crafts room, landscaped gardens, spa facilities, and a luxury car service.

The 78-bedroom home has been built with energy efficient insulation in all the cavity walls as well as the floors and roof space. This reduces the amount of heating required, protecting the home from rising energy costs and giving an energy efficiency rating of A.

Jubilee House is equipped with state-of-the-art ventilation systems to help prevent the spread of viruses. Electronic prescription dispensing technology aims to reduce pharmacy errors. The external build was carried out by  construction company Lawrence Baker.

Andrew Winstanley, chief executive at  Berkley Care Group, said: “Jubilee House and our investment in building the home underscores our wider belief and commitment to the Warwickshire region. Once at full capacity, we estimate the home will create 150 jobs, both in the home and among our suppliers.”

Phillippa Cook, general manager of Jubilee House, said:  “We are delighted that Jubilee House is now open to allow our new residents to move in. There has been a lot of love, care and attention to detail put into the home’s design and construction.”

Jubilee House care home is the latest addition to Berkley Care Group’s existing portfolio of 11 homes located across the Midlands and South of England.
