Stirling Square acquires specialist care provider
In a “complex deal”, Stirling Square Capital Partners has acquired Consensus Support Services, a leading specialist adult care provider in the UK, from Caring Homes Group
Founded in 2005, Consensus operates a freehold property portfolio of more than 90 services, providing housing and care for approximately 600 supported individuals across high-acuity learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex needs.
The company has a differentiated service offering that targets supporting service users with severe needs and has built a strong market position in this area.
Consensus is also uniquely positioned as the clear UK market leader in Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) services, a rare genetic condition, providing specialist support to nearly 100 individuals across 13 services.
Matthew Lee, managing director in Lincoln’s Healthcare Group who provided buy-side process management and due diligence, said: “This was a complex deal involving a corporate carve-out, but one which our client was determined to win. By utilizing Lincoln’s global network and complementary service offerings for our client and providing full buy-side support, we were able to bring unique insights into domestic and international competition and make the right tactical calls that played to our client’s advantage.”
