Solehawk care home appoints deputy manager

Sandra Levitt, deputy manager, Kenton Hall Care Home

Kenton Hall Care Home, part of the Solehawk group, has appointed Sandra Levitt as its new deputy manager.

Levitt first worked in a care home at the age of 16, before taking on other roles with organisations including Sunderland Council’s reablement team, where she supported people recovering from serious health issues.

Levitt joined Solehawk as a senior carer, subsequently becoming a nursing assistant and then stepping into her current role as deputy manager. Her qualifications include an NVQ Level 3 in Leadership in Health and Social Care and a Level 3 in Business Improvement Techniques, and she is currently completing a Level 5 qualification in Management in Health and Social Care.

“What I cherish most about my job is making sure our residents feel cared for and respected, ensuring their choices are valued. It’s about enhancing their quality of life each day,” said Levitt.

Malcolm Hanson, home manager at Kenton Hall, said:  “Sandra is a tremendous asset to our team. Her extensive experience and empathetic approach to care make her perfectly suited to her new role as deputy manager. We are excited to see how her innovative ideas and leadership will continue to enrich the lives of our residents.”
