Sanders Senior Living celebrates Good care home rating
Sanders Senior Living’s The Belmont care home in Worcester has been rated Good in all areas by the CQC.
The residential care home, which provides personal care for up to 74 people, was inspected in August.
The CQC said: “The service enriched people’s lives by supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations. A wishing tree had been created for people living at the home to make a wish.”
Observations from the glowing CQC report also noted: “Staff had the information they needed to provide personalised care and support and knew people’s preferred routines and what was important to them.”
The report also noted: “People were encouraged to give their feedback and suggestions on different elements of care provided, including meals, trips and activities.”
Sandie Preece, registered home manager for The Belmont, and her wider team have worked exceptionally hard to put strategies and processes in place to obtain the home’s official rating. The team were delighted to see the hard work from everyone in the home reflected in their new rating.
Preece said: “We have all worked so hard over the last year and a half at The Belmont and we are thrilled to have achieved a positive Good rating with CQC in all key areas. I believe that resident, relative and staff involvement in the daily operations has really contributed to our success.
“I am thrilled to have led the team through change and now we are proud to share our success within the home, the community and our health care professionals.”
