Rose Care Group purchases Yeovil care home

Rose Care Group

Paul Nery of Rose Care Group has acquired Beechwood House care home in Yeovil, South Somerset, for whom it becomes an eighth home.

Beechwood House has undergone investment and improvement over recent years and is registered to accommodate up to 28 elderly clients. The home comprises 27 bedrooms with en suite facilities, as well as numerous resident day rooms and ancillary space, and an enclosed courtyard style garden.

Beechwood House has been owned by Rita Gibb since 1998 and, most recently, been run by her son-in-law, Adrian Rogers. Gibb is retiring and Rogers is pursuing interests away from the care sector.

Rogers said: “As a family, we are proud of Beechwood House and the home we created for our residents. It is important to us that the new owner will build on the values and care Beechwood House stands for and, with Paul Nery and the Rose Care Group, we are reassured this will continue.”

Nery commented: “I am proud to welcome Beechwood House, all the residents and staff into the Rose Care Group family. It is a beautiful home that puts the care of the residents front and centre. The whole team and I look forward to building on the excellent standards already in place.”

Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale, which was for an undisclosed price.

Simon Harvey, senior director in Christie & Co’s Southwest healthcare team, said: “The home’s excellent reputation combined with its strong trading performance and the single storey accommodation made it an attractive proposition in which we were able to generate strong interest with bids from a wide range of parties, both existing operators and new entrants.”
