National law firm Mills & Reeve has hosted the second Women in Health and Care Network event in London.

Guests to the event had the opportunity to hear from two keynote speakers: Newson Health, Menopause & Wellbeing Centre founder and co-founder, Dr Louise Newson and Dr Rebecca Lewis.

Dr Louise Newson spoke about her experience in business, how she set up Newson Health and how she’s navigated the path of being a woman in business since then. She also discussed her expertise in the field of women’s health, particularly around menopause, the importance of health and hormones for individuals, and the impact that hormone health has on the workforce.

She said: “It was a wonderful evening full of inspirational people – it was an honour and privilege to share both my knowledge of hormones and my professional journey with them. The support and respect for my work was palpable and very encouraging.”

The Women in Health & Care Network was established in 2023 by Jill Mason, partner and head of health and care at Mills & Reeve, to help build a collaborative network of decision makers and influencers within the sector.

Mason commented: “We were very fortunate to host Dr Louise Newson and Dr Rebecca Lewis at our latest Women in Health and Care Network event. Both speakers generated thought-provoking discussion that our guests were able to gain real insight from. Everyone was fascinated to hear about their journey in business, as well as thinking about the everyday, real life health issues facing senior women leaders and/or their workforce.”

One attendee said: “What a sensational evening. Louise was a fantastic speaker and the whole room was buzzing.”
