Ipswich Town FC gives care home footie fans a day to remember
Ipswich Town FC team members have given residents at a Suffolk care home a day to remember.
Residents engaged in chair-based activities and fans were able to share their memories and stories, and passion for the sport during the visit to Healthcare Homes’ Hanford House.
“We were so happy to host Ipswich Town Football Club at Handford House, and the residents were so excited for their visit,” said Rebecca, activities co-ordinator at Handford House.
“We really see first-hand the positive impact that activities and visits have on the residents’ well-being. They didn’t stop smiling and are asking about another visit already!”
Healthcare Homes said the exchange of experiences between the residents and the Ipswich Town had been heartwarming and had a positive impact on the well-being of individuals within home.
Healthcare Homes said it looked forward to more collaborative initiatives that bring joy, laughter and a sense of community to its care homes across the region.
