HC-One plans to share soundbites from rising stars who have successfully completed their apprenticeships as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

National Apprenticeship Week, which takes place between 5 and 11 February 2024, has the theme Skills for Life.

Working with its main apprenticeship training provider Lifetime Training, HC-One will share inspirational stories on its careers website and on social media. Colleagues will also share their apprenticeship journeys in webinars hosted by Lifetime Training.

HC-One offers over 20 different apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 through to degree and Masters level programmes. In 2023, HC-One saw 162 staff members complete their apprenticeship programmes, 49 of whom achieved distinctions. More than 900 HC-One staff members across England, Scotland and Wales are set to complete an apprenticeship and qualification programme within the next two to three years.

Last year, HC-One added to its apprenticeship opportunities by welcoming non-registered care colleagues in England to train as Registered Nursing Associates and Registered Nurses, through the apprenticeship route which came into place from Autumn 2023.

Susan Beasley, HC-One’s apprenticeship and qualifications manager, said: “It is important to us that our colleagues feel valued, and they are provided with opportunities to progress in their careers. We are extremely proud of what has been achieved at HC-One over the past year, which saw the launch of our nursing apprenticeships and widening opportunities for our colleagues to access degree and Masters level apprenticeships.”
