Not-for-profit care provider Greensleeves Care has acquired Broadacres, a residential care home in Barton Turf, Norfolk.

Independently owned Broadacres has been in operation as a care home for nearly 40 years with capacity for 28 residents, The property was converted from a private residence in 1986 and subsequently extended, today featuring 25 large bedrooms with full en suite facilities, communal spaces and landscaped gardens.

Greensleeves provides residential, dementia and nursing homes across England. In the East of England the not-for-profit now operates nine homes including two services rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

The purchase is part of Greensleeves’ growth programme, which combines new built properties and acquisitions of existing services. It follows the recent opening of a purpose-built nursing home in Tooting, London. The organisation started in 1997 with 17 homes and now operates 28 homes across England.

Paul Newman, chief executive of Greensleeves Care, said: “As the newest member of the Greensleeves Care family, Broadacres will allow us to continue our decades-long charitable mission of offering high-quality and person-centred care to more older people across England, ensuring that Broadacres’ residents continue to receive the excellent care with which the home has been associated.”

The deal was supported by law firm Wilsons Solicitors, business property advisor Christie & Co, and advisor Azets.
