Former Sevenoaks care home up for auction

A former care home in Sevenoaks, Kent is to be put up for sale at auction this month with a guide price of £1 million.

The 8,000 square foot detached, period brick-built building, which sits in more than half an acre of gardens, has 15 bedrooms and multiple reception rooms and communal areas. It also includes office rooms and staff facilities across its four storeys.

Auction house Pugh, part of the Eddisons group, will feature the property in its next online property auction on 13 August. Director Edward Feather said: “This is a real gem of a property, in a sought-after residential area of Sevenoaks, where the average house price is around £1.5 million.

“It has been extended several times over the years and would make a superb family home. Equally though, the property would also lend itself to conversion to multiple apartments, subject to a buyer gaining the necessary planning permission.

“It goes without saying that this is a great location. Sevenoaks is a popular and affluent town, known for its gorgeous scenery, outstanding schools and thriving economy, and at less than half an hour from London on the train it really is hard to beat.”
