Dan Scott-Elder has joined family-owned care group Westgate Healthcare as operations director.

With over 20 years’ experience in social care, Scott-Elder previously worked with Runwood Homes where he was promoted from senior home manager to regional operations director in June 2022.

Scott-Elder said: “The success of Westgate Healthcare is very much highlighted by the professionalism and integrity of the whole team working collectively to provide outstanding care. I am inspired by the kind, compassionate, caring individuals I have met so far, who are motivated and united in the desire to bring joy and happiness to all our wonderful residents. I am looking forward to driving Westgate Healthcare forward with continued positivity, growth and success.”

Deborah Christian, chief operating officer at Westgate Healthcare, said: “We work hard to constantly develop and improve the care and support to the people who live and work in our care homes. Dan’s expertise, gained from spending more than 20 years in the healthcare sector, will add enormous value to an already strong senior management team. We welcome him to the Westgate family.”

Westgate Healthcare’s expansion plans in 2024 include a brand new 75 bed purpose-built residential home, based in its head office town of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. An additional purpose-built 85 bed care and nursing home is under development in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire and will be open in 2025.
