Cedar Care purchases Wiltshire care home

Cedar Care

Bristol-based care group Cedar Care has acquired Hill House Care Home near Malmesbury in Wiltshire.

When the previous owners purchased Hill House Care Home in 2008, it was trading as a boutique residential care home registered for 19, operating from a nineteenth-century property. The owners since obtained planning for an extension and developed a 42-bed purpose-built wing which sits alongside the original period property on over 11 acres of grounds.

The owners of Cedar Care, Ash and Minal Desai, said: “Hill House really is a very special care home, and we are looking forward to continuing with the high-quality of care that is provided to its residents.”

Cedar Care owns other homes across Bristol, Bath, and Cheshire.

The sale was facilitated by business property advisor Christie & Co for an undisclosed sum.

Rob Kinsman, a regional director of Christie & Co, said: “We received multiple offers for Hill House and secured a figure substantially ahead of the guide price, underlying the strength of the market for quality care home assets and ongoing investor appetite for operational real estate.”

Legal advice for the vendors was provided by Lester Aldridge, and advice for Cedar Care was provided by Harrison Clark Rickerbys.
