Care UK celebrates Christmas with Care to Share initiative

Care UK is helping combat loneliness in its communities with its Care to Share initiative this Christmas.
Over 100 Care UK care homes from Edinburgh to Bournemouth will provide festivities, including singing carols, hosting Christmas fairs and games and activities, or welcoming the community in to watch festive films and providing delicious traditional treats.
Events around the country include:

- Amherst House in Horley is screening a classic Christmas film and providing sticky toffee pudding and gingerbread cookies
- Darlington Court in Littlehampton team is welcoming the community to its dementia-friendly Festive Café
- Visitors of the Dementia Café at Blossomfield Grange in Solihull will be treated to a special afternoon tea, themed sandwiches, scones and of course, mince pies and Christmas cake
- Festive games and carols will be on offer at Murrayside care home in Edinburgh
- Chester’s Deewater Grange team is brushing up on their creative skills ahead of their crafting demonstration to inspire Christmas Craft Club attendees
- Franklin House in West Drayton has arranged for local magician, Alex Sparkling from Cheeky Trickster, to join guests for a spellbinding performance.
