Luxury care group Dormy Care Communities has teamed up with specialist wine retailer Majestic Wine to enhance the experience of its residents.

James Thomas, executive chef at Dormy Care Communities, struck up the deal after chatting with the manager of his local Majestic Wine store in Ludlow.

“We are always ambitious to provide a better-quality product for our residents and this allows us to raise our game in the wine stakes,” said Thomas. “When people move in with us, we want them to continue to enjoy the things they enjoy in life and we want to offer them the opportunity of new enriching experiences. Food and drink play an important part in that and this partnership with Majestic means our residents can enjoy some of the best wines the world has to offer.”

The partnership launched at Dormy Care’s Brockington House in Hereford and has rolled out to the providers’ other three care communities Foxhunters in Monmouthshire, Pine Martin Grange in Dorset and Bramshott Grange in Hampshire.

The new wine list features a mix of bottles including Wild Ocean Chardonnay from South Africa, Ventoux Aime Arnoux, a classic French red from the Rhone Valley and regular weekly specials. These were chosen following a wine tasting event held in Dormy Care Communities’ Brockington House.
