Andrew Winstanley has been appointed the new chief executive of Connaught Care Group.

Winstanley was appointed in mid-November after leaving luxury care provider Berkley Care Group earlier this year.

He said: “I feel honoured to be joining Connaught Care at such an exciting time for the business, and indeed for the whole care sector. Slowly but surely, our industry is waking up to the fact that residents deserve more than the basic necessities of care in their later lives.

“Community, social connections, receptive and engaged staff, and even the occasional luxury like champagne on-tap; all are crucial components of making a care home truly feel like home.

“Through its ‘people-first’ ethos, Connaught is at the vanguard of this new approach to senior care. Our goal is to help residents live a life that is more extraordinary by putting their needs and aspirations at the heart of everything we do.”

Recently launched luxury operator Connaught Care has opened two care homes in Bedhampton, Hampshire and Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire this year and plans to launch a further six homes in the South and Southeast of England in 2024.
